Up for sale, a 2023 Fender Heritage ‘60s Stratocaster in showroom-clean, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the gigbag and hangtags. Sourced directly from Tokyo, this “Made in Japan” Heritage Series Stratocaster was designed in conjunction with Fender Custom Shop Master Builder Mark Kendrick, using profiling data from Fender USA for vintage-spec body and neck profile carves. This retooled top-tier Fender Japan Stratocaster model exceeds the quality of even Fender Japan's previous VSP series, standing toe to toe with the American Vintage and Original lines.
Extremely rare outside Japan and arguably among the finest Japanese-made Stratocasters ever produced (certainly in modern times), this Stratocaster boasts a gloss Candy Apple Red nitro lacquer finish, vintage spec hardware and plastics, black bobbin USA pickups, USA-spec CTS pots, and cloth-covered leads used throughout the harness.
Traditional tonewoods include an alder body, maple neck, and thick slab rosewood fingerboard with clay dot inlay, yielding a smooth and balanced natural acoustic tone. The black bobbin pickups feature staggered alnico magnets and have excellent bounce and sparkle, sweet and clear in every pickup position with a woody cut.
