2006 Fender Order Made Telecaster Custom ‘62 Vintage Reissue Red Sparkle, Near-Mint w/ Case, Japan CIJ
2006 Fender Order Made Telecaster Custom ‘62 Vintage Reissue Red Sparkle, Near-Mint w/ Case, Japan CIJ
Weighing 7lbs 15oz, tonewoods include an alder body, maple neck, and slab rosewood fretboard. Fender’s USA-made Texas Special pickups feature all the hallmarks of vintage Tele pickup design, with a brass baseplate and staggered alnico poles on the bridge pickup, black fiber bobbins, and push-back cloth-covered leads. A pickup that has a bit more kick than a traditional Tele thanks to a slightly overwound design, the Texas Specials offer plenty of snap and snarl, with chewy twang at the bridge and smooth, bell-like cut at the neck. This Telecaster Custom TL62B-800 has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
Neck Specs:
-Wood: Maple
-Shape: Medium C, measuring .835” 1st fret, .960” 12th fret
-Fretboard: Rosewood, 7 1/4” vintage-spec radius
-Frets: Slender, light wear beneath the plain strings on frets 1-9
-Scale Length: 25 1/2”
-Nut: 1.650” (42mm), bone
-Tuners: Kluson-style
-Serialization: “Crafted in Japan,” S-prefix
-Factory Markings: Handwritten Order Made information on neck pocket and heel
Body Specs:
-Wood: Alder
-Pickups: Fender USA Texas Special single coils
-Controls: Volume, Tone, Three-way pickup selector
-Hardware: “Pat. Pend” bridge base with spiral (threaded) saddles, flat-top knurled knobs
-Plastics: Three-ply white pickguard, “top hat” switch tip
The gloss custom color Red Sparkle finish is framed on both sides by cream binding, showing just a few faint finish scratches, largely relegated to the back. The ambered gloss on the neck profile is clean and smooth with only a couple shallow marks behind frets 5-7 that are not distracting to the palm while fretting.
A Fender black tolex hardshell case is included.
