Up for sale, a 2009 Fender Telecaster Custom ‘62 vintage reissue model TL62B-BTX in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. This “Made in Japan” Telecaster is an uncommon, upscale iteration, discontinued long ago and featuring a genuine USA-made Bigsby B5F vibrato tailpiece and a factory-installed pair of USA-made Fender Texas Special pickups.
Weighing 8lbs 13oz, tonewoods include an alder body, maple neck, and slab rosewood fretboard. The pair of USA-made Texas Special single coils feature all the hallmarks of vintage Fender pickup construction, with black fiber bobbins, cloth-covered leads and staggered, unbeveled alnico magnet pole pieces. Slightly overwound for a bit more kick than a traditional pair of single coils, the Texas Specials deliver plenty of snarl, with quintessential Tele twang in the bridge position and sweet percussive cut at the neck. This Telecaster Custom TL62B-BTX has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
