Up for sale, a 2019 Fender Michiya Haruhata Stratocaster in near-mint condition and in perfect working order. This unique “Made in Japan” Stratocaster is the signature instrument of Michiya Haruhata, guitarist of long-running Japanese pop-rock band Tube. Directly modeled after Haruhata’s “III” Strat, it boasts a bevy of unique features including a reverse headstock, Gotoh double-locking tremolo, HSH pickup complement, a deeply figured quilted maple top highlighted by a Caribbean Blue Transparent gloss finish, and a satin-finished soft V neck profile modeled after a 3D scan of the III Strat’s neck.
Tonewoods include an ash body (+ quilted maple top), maple neck, and slab 22-fret rosewood fingerboard. Pickups include a DiMarzio Air Norton humbucker at the neck, a Fender Custom Shop Texas Special single coil in the middle, and an upgraded Suhr Thornbucker at the bridge. The signature humbucker of Pete Thorn, the Suhr Thornbucker is designed to offer quintessential PAF warmth and clarity, with a touch more modern oomph and power. The Air Norton neck humbucker is a warm, open-sounding pickup with a unique magnetic structure to reduce string pull and increase sustain while maintaining dynamic feel and responsiveness.
