2020 Fender Heritage ‘50s Telecaster Butterscotch Lacquer, Mint w/ Hangtags, Japan MIJ
Offered only within Japan and to select international territories, the Heritage instruments are at the top of Fender Japan’s lineup, with this “Blackguard”-style Telecaster faithfully capturing the specs of Leo Fender’s pioneering original design. Features include a Butterscotch Blonde nitro lacquer finish on an ash body and a pair of custom-wound black bobbin single coil pickups. These pickups feature cloth-covered leads and flush-mount bridge pole pieces, yielding quintessential Tele tones with plenty of inherent sparkle and chop. The bridge has a gutsy twang, and the neck is broad and smooth while still retaining terrific articulation. This Heritage ‘50s Telecaster weighs 7lbs 10oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 9-42 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
