Up for sale, a 2023 Fender American Acoustasonic Telecaster Tokyo Flagship Limited Edition in mint condition, complete with the molded hardshell case, CoA and hangtags. Paradoxically, this is a USA-made Fender instrument which was only offered through Fender Japan’s Tokyo Flagship store, with sparingly few examples produced and only available for purchase at the Flagship location. This American Acoustasonic Telecaster boasts artwork taken from Hokusai Katsushika’s iconic “Thirty-six Views of Mt. Fuji” series (this particular print is “Thunderstorm Beneath the Summit,” also known as “Fuji Above the Lightning”).
Tonewoods include a mahogany body, mahogany neck, and 22-fret slab ebony fingerboard; the American Acoustasonics feature Fender’s patented Stringed Instrument Resonance System technology, carefully calibrated with a “waterfall” design to guide airflow in and out of the hollow body to ensure fantastic resonance and enhanced tones both acoustically and plugged in.
