Up for sale, a 2026 Fender Traditional II ‘60s Jazzmaster in showroom-clean condition, complete with hangtags. New and imported from Tokyo, this FSR (Factory Special Run) example was made in extremely small quantities for a single dealer in Japan, Kinko Music.
With a Sherwood Green gloss finish, matching peghead and bound rosewood fingerboard, this particular iteration of the Traditional II 60s Jazzmaster platform has a few upscale features that set it apart from other Traditional Series offerings. These include a Mustang-style bridge with barrel saddles, an alder body, and medium jumbo fretwire. The current Traditional series Fender Japan models are designed exclusively for the domestic Japanese market, rarely seen outside their country of origin.
A reinvention of Fender Japan's Jazzmaster platform, the new Traditional II 60s model features redesigned Vintage Style pickups, as well as USA-spec CTS pots and Switchcraft switches. The instrument has plenty of sparkle and percussive cut on tap, with a range of defined tones from the two single coil pickups. Engaging the Rhythm Circuit on the guitar's lower body horn yields warmer, wooly sounds.
