2026 Fender Traditional II Late 60s Jaguar FSR Blonde w/ Custom Shop Pickups, Japan MIJ

Up for sale, a 2026 Fender Traditional II Late ‘60s Jaguar in mint condition, finished in custom color Blonde and complete with hangtags. New and imported direct from Tokyo, this FSR (Factory Special Run) example was made in extremely small quantities for a single dealer in Japan. Upscale features unique to this FSR include Custom Shop pickups, an ash body, medium jumbo fretwire on a modern 9 ½” radius fretboard, and a Mustang-style bridge with barrel saddles.

A newer entry in Fender Japan's Traditional line, the Late 60s Jaguar model has a feature set consistent with the 1966 model year, including pearloid blocks and cream binding on the rosewood fretboard, a vintage-correct "transitional" Fender logo, and Fender “F” tuning machines.

The Custom Shop pickups are a rare inclusion on a Fender Japan FSR, and these single coils are rich and round sounding, aided by the midrange detail and punch of the ash body. And while this model replicates the cosmetics of a circa-1966 Jaguar, the pickups have the early flat pole design seen from 1962-63, delivering a fatter sound and broader tonal range than most Jaguars. The trebles are sparkling and round, while the low end is defined and bold.

Each pickup selection has a distinctive sound, with great clarity for strummed passages and sparkling lead lines. Engage the Rhythm Circuit for even darker, meatier tones (great for use with fuzz pedals), or click on the "strangle" switch in the Lead Circuit for even thinner tic-tac sounds. Weighing 8lbs 12oz, this Traditional II Late ‘60s Jaguar FSR has been setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar, where we specialize in Fender Offset instruments, featuring the factory 9-42 strings, low action, and accurate intonation (string gauge and setup can be dialed in to buyer's preference at no charge upon request).
