2003 Paul Reed Smith Custom 24 “10 Top” Brazilian Limited Edition Root Beer w/ Case, Hangtags
Up for sale, a 2003 Paul Reed Smith Custom 24 “10 Top” Brazilian Limited Edition in near-mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case and hangtags. Just 500 of each model of the Limited Edition Brazilian PRS guitars were produced, sporting, as the name would suggest, Brazilian rosewood fingerboards. This tremolo-equipped model is loaded with Vintage Treble and Vintage Bass humbuckers: an evolution of the original Standard design, these pickups have a warm, natural sound that, true to their name, evokes the tailored clarity and breadth of a classic PAF-style design. The five-position Rotary-Hybrid pickup selector knob is wired as follows:
Position 1: Humbucking Treble (bridge) pickup
Position 2: Outside coils of both pickups (Out-of-Phase), cocked wah-style sound
Position 3: Series single coils (described by PRS as the “warm version” of a Strat’s in-between sound)
Position 4: Parallel single coils (described by PRS as the “crisp version” of a Strat’s in-between sound)
Position 5: Humbucking Bass (neck) pickup
This Custom 24 10 Top weighs 7lbs 10oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, slinky action, and accurate intonation.

The gloss Root Beer nitro lacquer finish highlights the wall-to-wall figuring in the quilted maple 10 Top and there’s some light cloudiness in the clear coat adjacent to the knobs, with a couple small chips along the edge of the top and just a few fainter finish scratches and dings on the back and body perimeter. The nitro gloss on the neck profile is flawless.
The original black tolex hardshell case is included, along with the hangtags.
