2015 Paul Reed Smith 30th Anniversary Custom 24 Trem 10 Top Scarlet Red w/ Case, Hangtags
Up for sale, a 2015 Paul Reed Smith 30th Anniversary Custom 24 “10 Top” in mint condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case and all hangtags. There’s no better model than the Custom 24 to celebrate three decades of PRS production, the company’s original production model, which has remained largely unchanged since its introduction in ‘85. This premium iteration of the Custom 24 platform, produced in limited quantities, features a stunning, deeply figured flame maple “10 Top” highlighted by a Scarlet Red finish, 58/15 humbuckers, and a Pattern Thin neck profile.
Lightweight and well-balanced on a strap at 7lbs 7oz, traditional tonewoods include the carved maple cap, mahogany body and one-piece mahogany neck capped with a rosewood fingerboard. The 58/15 humbuckers are only available from PRS loaded in one of their instruments (not sold separately), and these highly prized low-wind PAF-style pickups are extremely articulate, sweet, and expressive. Additionally, the five-way selector switch enables single coil sparkle and snap. This 30th Anniversary Custom 24 “10 Top” has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, dialed in with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
Neck Specs:
-Wood: Mahogany
-Shape: Pattern Thin, measuring .850” 1st fret, .900” 12th fret
-Fretboard: Rosewood, 24-fret, mother of pearl “Birds in Flight” inlays, purfling
-Frets: Medium jumbo, no wear
-Scale Length: 25"
-Nut: 1 11/16”
-Headstock: Rosewood veneer with purfling, 30th Anniversary truss rod cover
-Tuners: Phase III Locking (open-gear)
-Serialization: 15-prefix (2015), inked “10” on back of peghead denotes 10 Top status
Body Specs:
-Wood: Flame maple, mahogany
-Pickups: 58/15 TM Bass/Treble humbuckers
-Controls: Volume, Tone, Five-way pickup selector
-Hardware: PRS Tremolo with brass saddles
-Plastics: Clear knobs, black pickup surrounds/switch tip
The gloss Scarlet Red finish highlights the three-dimensional figuring in the maple, which oscillates between a uniform flame on the treble half of the top and a curlier, almost quilted pattern on the bass side. While technically a “used” instrument, there’s barely a mark on the body or in the gloss on the neck profile.
The original hardshell case is included, along with the serialized hangtags (dated 7/14/15).
